The Micro features a fully sealed one-piece high tensile steel body construction for high strength with guaranteed no leakages. The body ejects and discharges waste by tipping and is designed with extreme versatility to the needs of door-to-door collections. It is compact and very manoeuvrable; an ideal solution where restricted access is a problem and excellent manoeuvrability is required. The packing system composes a well-structured packing plate operated by means of two connecting rods, which provide excellent performance with all types of waste collected – even with the lightest waste stream. The conical shape of the body, stiffened by ribbed reinforcement structures, ensures structural strength and excellent ease of unloading. The proportional electronics, which controls the lifter, minimizes the stresses when emptying bins and containers, even when fast unloading. Unloading of waste is by tipping, carried out by means of a single telescopic ram and supported by two stabilizing feet to ensure maximum stability, ensures complete discharge of waste materials and residual liquids collected. MICRO WITH POD

The side discharging POD version of the MICRO allows the independent collection of two different waste streams with no cross-contamination. Rear loading is represented by a one-piece body which is the same specification as the standard version of the MICRO and has the ability to collect various materials using semi-compaction. An additional covered side loading POD compartment is located in the space between the rear of cab and front of the Micro body, resulting in the collection of a different waste stream of refuse. Fitted with an independent bin lifter for emptying small bins, the POD comes with no compaction mechanism. The discharge of this second type of waste is achieved through simple tipping of the POD compartment, from the side opposite to the loading side.

MK1

The compactor MK1 is a larger version of the Micro tipping type body and is totally suitable for satellite vehicle operation. It is characterised by its small size whilst at the same time produces extraordinary performance. The MK1 is able to satellite dock with larger refuse vehicles, transferring its waste into the “”mothership vehicle””.
The mini compactor MK1 is equipped with a specific integral bin lifter manufactured by Farid, and is comparable in terms of performance and speed with devices used on larger refuse collection vehicles. This bin lifter can also be provided with an optional bag lifter or slave bin/s. The packing system consists of a sliding carriage plate plus sweeping plate for optimum loading and weight distribution. During waste unloading process, the packing system inverts its cycle to ease the escape of the waste. It can be provided with a single approved rear footboard.

The rear loading mini compactor MINIMATIC body represents a truly versatile and interesting choice in the collection of many different waste streams. Featuring small dimensions, the MINIMATIC comes with a conventional ejection plate to discharge materials, and it can handle many types of waste streams from general refuse, recycling materials to heavy (organic) types. Although designed for chassis of small size, usually from 5.0 t to 8.0 t GVW, it can collect optimum payloads and has excellent load capacity. This mini compactor comes with an integral comb bin lifter manufactured by Farid, able to empty bins or containers from 80 l. up to 2,000 l. The MINIMATIC is a superb choice if satellite waste transfer operations are required, and for docking with medium to larger “mother ship vehicles”. Acting as a satellite vehicle it ensures the rapid transfer of waste into the “mother ship” vehicle by means of a conventional ejection plate, in absolute safety and without spilling any waste on to the ground.

The Farid MK2 mini compactor provides versatility and high performance required by collections in urban areas where difficult traffic and road conditions are experienced. The body and the loading hopper constitute a single, one-piece body, built with the use of high strength tensile steels. Compaction is accomplished via a conventional ejection plate and consists of a slide carriage and an articulated plate. The compaction mechanism comes with connecting rods and rocker arms which adjusts the inclination of the slide during its operating movement. Refuse unloading takes place by means of an ejection plate, so the mini compactor MK2 is as an ideal satellite vehicle, allowing easy unloading of waste collected directly into the loading hopper of a “mother ship” vehicle. This mini compactor eases loading of the refuse which is suitably contained within the limits of the body rave rail area, working in operation with the opening tailgate, either closed or opened, and with controlled semi-automatic movement.

PN DR

The smaller ‘mini’ PN DR represents the lighter version of the PN range with which it shares the same packing system and the single body structure for refuse unloading. This version is intended for those areas of collection which require small chassis with very limited dimensions and GVW (from 6.5 t to 10 t GVW). Therefore, it represents the ideal solution for those situations which require an extreme compactness of the vehicle yet requires optimum packing performance and structural characteristics higher than those of the alternative mini-compactors. The packing system of the PN DR is based on a classic well proven system with carriage plate and articulated sweeping plate. During loading, the ejection plate applies a controlled back pressure that guarantees high payload performance. As for the entire PN range, the compactor eases loading of the refuse containing within the minimum limits of the hopper and rave rail, in operation with the tailgate either closed or open, and with controlled semi-automatic movement.

PN SF

The PN SF version of PN is designed to meet the needs of operation where medium collection volumes are required, (7.5 m3 – 10 m3), and intended for chassis sizes from 10 t – 12 t GVW. The aim is to combine a compact and sturdy compaction mechanism with a limited chassis tare weight, allowing the equipment to achieve excellent payloads even with a chassis limited GVW. The rave rail, in any condition of use, allows for easy manual loading operations. A moving lower scraper plate is attached to the ejection plate assembly and ensures a clean swept hopper during ejection and discharge of waste. The system, despite its extreme simplicity of design allows the equipment to achieve high compaction ratios, considering that the compaction components are exactly the same as those of the standard PN.
