The new Farid rear loader T1 PLUS represents the perfect combination between experience and innovation in the choice of materials, electronics and hydraulic components. The model T1 is one of the most popular refuse compactors in Europe and ensures a high level of performance, versatility, operational efficiency and durability. An extremely modern and high-performance electronic system based on CanBus protocols, a completely redesigned software, allow the range T1 PLUS to respect all the safety rules in force, optimising operational and control functions. The model T1 PLUS represents an evolution of a historic new Farid equipment, in terms both of aesthetics and of production processes. A new under body subchassis super structure allows an easy fit onto all the chassis cabs available on the market and easier application of many third-party optional solutions, without the need of cutting and welding. On the tailgate it is possible to fit a range of bin lifters, either comb lifts manufactured by Farid, or, alternative third party fully automatic bin lift solutions available. Modern proportional hydraulics allow full safety performance, complete with smooth and controlled movements, which ensure a long life of the equipment and components parts. The new electronic cards used, common to other Farid equipment of the PLUS family, comply with the most robust automotive logics. Their interchangeability and commonality allow for minimised stock of spare parts. T1 PLUS features extreme versatility, allowing the easy application of several operating systems, such as automatic and semi-automatic bin lifters, two or four chain skip loaders, cranes placed on the tailgate, or, on the roof of the equipment. There is the possibility to operate the equipment safely from within the vehicle cab the different combinations of compaction pressures and speeds of the bin lifter, thus allowing the equipment to adapt to different types of wastes being collected, so as to achieve maximum operating efficiency. There is also a special option version available, equipped with electric PTO, to ensure even in this environmentally friendly configuration delivers high performance

The rear compactor T2 represents the product of the highest range of rear compactors manufactured by Farid. This compactor uses the best technical swinging link compaction solutions available in the industry. The result is a compactor with top-of-the-range performance, associated with a great reliability and robustness of each item, with a modern and functional design. In the T2 compactor the packing of the waste is realised through a specific low friction mechanism, based on pairs of connecting rods and swing link components, which allow rotating motion of the sweep plate without sliding elements inside guides. This solution thus increases the packing capacity of the vehicle, enabling a better distribution of the refuse inside the body during packing, improving the loading capacity and the volume available in the loading hopper. The mechanism is completed by a classic compaction plate that has rotating motion which achieves the optimal packing of the refuse within the body. The ejection plate during unloading of waste operates efficiently, moving on classic side guides made of anti-wear steel. During unloading, the ejection plate protrudes by 150mm from the rear of the body, so as to ensure the total expulsion of refuse. The high volume of the hopper makes T2 particularly suitable for collections of bulky and/or industrial waste. The T2 compactor uses a large proportion of standard Farid options, specific for large size rear compactors, such as its bin lifter, robust and with high performance characteristics. The Hillend built Powerlink delivers a high degree of durability, reliability and flexibility of use representing the top of the range in premium rear loading compactors. The loading hopper is designed with the highest level of compaction efficiency and operating volume. The modern style body features round smooth side walls which are able to withstand all types of load stress whilst at the same time gives a modern and pleasant aesthetic design appearance. The premium “Swinglink and Pivot Link System”, which characterises its working packing system, comes with connecting links to ensure lower hydraulic force and reduced stress is exerted on specific elements of the compaction system compared to that of a classical “Slide and Pack” sliding block mechanism. This ensures that the hydraulic force exerted is only applied to compaction of the waste, thus achieving lower wear rates and longer life of all components situated in the tailgate. By incorporating modern hydraulic solutions the Powerlink offers a high level of performance, reduced servicing downtime and minimising routine maintenance costs thus reducing its impact to the environment. This Hillend built equipment is available in a complete range of body volumes, from 16 to 26 m3 which enables it to fit a wide range of chassis cab variants to suit the needs of its customers.

The TwinTrak rear loading divided body equipment within the range of Hillend products fully meets the modern needs of today’s market for the collection of two separated waste streams of refuse. The Hillend BigBite is rightly considered by many customers as the reference for all rear loading compactors intended for “heavy industrial” use. Produced since the early nineteen seventies and with the advantage of continuous development over the years, this equipment has an enviable reputation for robustness, durability, reliability and its ability to cope with any requirement of the user even in the most demanding collection operations. The “Swinglink and Pivot Link System” compaction technology – with connecting links and rods – ensures maximum packing and compaction efficiency. Thanks to the large robust 2.32 cubic metre hopper capacity, this equipment can easily handle bulky waste streams with minimised maintenance of the tailgate. The BigBite is also fast in operation with a cycle time of just 27-32 seconds. A two or four chain skip loading system enables a lift capacity of up to five tonnes for skip sizes and volumes up to 16 m³. The BigBite comb bin lift (BBC) is able to handle container sizes up 1,100 litres capacity making this equipment highly flexible to use.
